How You’ll Make a Difference

Provides evaluation and education on nutritional dietary needs for patients. Acts as a resource for clinical staff, including but not limited to, staff education and patient teaching materials.Meets with assigned patients and, utilizing the appropriate tools, collects nutritional data then develops and implements a plan of care.Evaluates nutritional care in terms of expected outcome and takes appropriate action.Provides follow-up on nutritional care plan to facilitate continuity of care.Evaluates compliance and/or success of plan of care and revises as indicated.Identifies community resources appropriate in providing nutritional support to patient and family.Responds to educational needs and creates documents regarding nutrition. Initiates action to see that these needs are met.Identifies needs for patient educational materials and facilitates development or availability of support materials.Provides input in budget preparation for dietitian hours and supplies.QualificationsLicense & CertificationsDietitian (RD) registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, andDietitian certification issued by the state in which the team member practices.EducationBachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Dietetics or related field.ExperienceNo experience required Completion of a ACND accredited internship or coordinated dietetic program.Intermediate computer skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organization, decision-making, and problem solving skills.At Aurora Health CareWe pride ourselves on taking care of our people.
