Brief Job Description- Line Cook / Prep Cook

We are looking for experienced and professional Line Cooks to prepare food to the exact Chefs specifications and to set up stations for menus. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Executive and Sous Chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our Club's Member satisfaction. Candidates should be self-motivated, self-directed and to provide premier food service, quality and consistency to Club Members and their guests. The ideal candidate will be passionate and motivated with a team player mentality. Strong attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task is required.

Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow Executive or Sous Chefs instructions

Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Stock inventory appropriately. Receive and check-in inventory accordingly

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, consistent and timely fashion

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers both in BOH and FOH

Requirements:

Proven cooking experience, including as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Strong attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with industrys best practices

Culinary school diploma preferred
