Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Manager will exceed the expectations of all Siebkens Resort guests in a multitude of tasks that include, but are not limited to, elevating the focus on F&B within the resort, developing robust systems with the management team, implementing effective operational strategies, and ensuring all F&B outlets perform effectively. The Food & Beverage Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure consistent policies and procedures are followed and that performance goals are met.

Specific Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Be courteous, friendly, and helpful to fellow employees, vendors, and guests

• Respond to guests’ needs in a timely and professional manner

• Communicate well with other departments of the resort

• Adhere to Siebkens Resort vision statement and core values, as well as all standards of operations, policies, procedures, manuals, training material, etc.

• Develop, train, and support all Front of House Staff

• Be onsite at all Food and Beverage locations regularly

• Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies for existing and new positions

• Demonstrate an understanding of labor cost control through effective scheduling

• Consistently conduct an accurate inventory on supplies

• Handle guest complaints and resolve problems to the guests’ satisfaction

• Ensure that meals are served in a professional and timely manner by circulating within the outlet and communicating with the kitchen and servers

• Communicate daily station allocation, side work, F&B specials, and daily events

• Ensure staff has a complete understanding of their job requirements and sufficient training before holding them accountable for results

• Hold staff accountable for their job performance through regular performance evaluations

• Ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments, and upper management via email, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the resort are met

• Attend relevant meetings at the resort

• Identify problems and opportunities for improvement, plan solutions, and set goals for the Food & Beverage department

• Maintain a professional appearance and tidy work space at all times
