Job Summary:

The House Manager is responsible for assisting the Administrator in the planning, monitoring, coordination, and evaluation of the operations of the facility. Assist Administrator with the direct supervision of all employees within the residence. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity, while recognizing individual needs and encouraging independence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with employees, residents, and residents' families in a professional, confidential manner.

2. Initiate and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.

3. Act in advisory capacity on facility issues and make informative, decisive decisions.

4. Assist administrator in communicating accurate and pertinent information to staff in order to provide effective and efficient resident care.

5. Assist administrator in overseeing the operational performance of the facility.

6. Apply problem-solving and conflict resolution skills where needed.

7. In conjunction with Administrator, responsible for employee evaluations, administration of corrective action/disciplinary, and selection process.

8. Assist administration in providing training and education to resident care staff on an ongoing basis.

9. Assist in pre-admission screening of prospective residents.

10. Oversees administration of medication preformed by resident care staff including frequent audits of MARs.

11. Performs ongoing assessments of resident physical and psychosocial needs and coordinates with administrator to assure quality care.

12. Communicates to families, doctors, and community contacts regarding personal needs and change in conditions.

13. Organizes, develops and conducts service plan reviews with appropriate resident care team members and resident families.

14. Maintains resident charts and reviews documentation preformed by resident care staff.

15. Provides direct care to residents as needed.

16. Responsible for on call rotation.

- Assists with special projects as assigned and performs other related duties.

Work Environment:

- Primarily works in assisted living facility.

- Must be able to travel as required by job responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Experience in health care field, preferred but not required.

- Must have or be willing to obtain necessary CBRF certifications as required.

- Must be 18 years or older.

- High School diploma or equivalent.

- LPN license preferred but not required.

- Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities.

- Must have the ability to work within a flexible schedule.

- Must possess excellent organizational skills.

Duties will include previously listed but not limited to those stated, and any other duties as assigned by management.
