Responsible for shipment of all boxed and/or packaged product and any paperwork necessary for that shipment. Take product to and from the production lines, storing and staging product maintaining all required records. Operate computerized barcoding equipment.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Perform shipping and receiving duties such as load/unload trucks
including interplant trucks.
Check orders-make sure all product on order is labeled or packaged and that any necessary interplant product is in place for shipment.
Stage product for labeling lines
Place product on depalletizer so the operator can fill line prior to start up.
Must meet the requirements for a Forklift B operator.
May perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Two to five years forklift experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume and distance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
