Responsibilities

- Write clean, well-designed code following written specifications

- Produce detailed specifications on new features

- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

- Contribute in all phases of the development life-cycle

- Follow industry best practices, quality assure code and maintain millions of lines of code written over nearly two decades

- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

- Desire to learn and an aptitude for following instructions

Skills And Qualifications

Required

- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks

- Strong experience with LAMP frameworks

- Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP

- Understanding of MVC design patterns, familiarity with ORM systems

- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

- Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming

Preferred

- Understanding accessibility and security compliance

- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes and netowrk

- Familiarity with MySQL databases and their declarative query languages

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

- Demonstrated attention to detail

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Desire to build upon and improve legacy features
