Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Define, plan, manage and deliver large global cyber security projects to ensure that results are achieved within desired timeframes.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Utilize established QBE project management methodology/framework
• Mange cross-functional project teams to deliver complex projects that are diverse in scope and broad in nature by utilizing knowledge and expertise to apply independent judgment in complex situations
• Lead cross-functional teams across business units and geographic locations
• Gather infrastructure, business and IT estimates and ensure they are developed using sound principles and judgment
• Perform analysis to identify innovative utilization of existing resources and potential solutions that facilitate decision-making to resolve issues preventing successful execution
• Manage project budgets and resources by ensuring costs are in alignment with approved limits, documenting and reporting variances, forecasting, and securing resources and collaborating with resource managers
• Identify and mitigate risks by creating risk management plans, managing interdependencies with other organizational projects, investigating problems, and performing in-depth analysis to ensure project delivery
• Communicate project status, issues and risks to key stakeholders and business leaders
• Work with the team to ensure that the appropriate testing is taking place
• Manage to project plans, timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project
• Contribute to a positive work environment by influencing others, holding people accountable, and collaborating
• Collaborate with organizational change management to ensure the right communications are going out the right people, at the right time

• 7+ years relevant experience
• Experience in project management; increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience in delivering technical solutions from concept, selection, installation, testing and implementation
• Experience implementing cyber security products and services
• Experience implementing infrastructure
• Experience implementing automation between systems
• Experience following enterprise project management office guidelines
• Experience with SailPoint LifeCycle Management helpful

Knowledge

• Applied knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
• Policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the business and organization
• General knowledge of security, infrastructure, networking, servers, storage, and other components and systems

Skills

• Manage complex projects concurrently and effectively
• Identify and gather resources and ensure future resource availability
• Effectively and efficiently present logic, reasoning, and analysis to others
• Appropriately prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely goal achievement
• Understand the outcome of a project and analyze the results and their implications
• Anticipate obstacles and challenges, identify root cause, and strategize plans to address
• Facilitate the assessment of technical system requirements, designs and specifications to execute the project
• Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure, including maintenance, support, including Hardware, Software, Build of Materials (BOMs) and SOWs from vendors
• Proficient with Office 365, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint

• Have a functional understanding of Local & Wide Area Network components
• Have a functional understanding of IT security
• Have a functional understanding of databases
