Full-time, $12.50-$13.75 per hour

2-2-3 Schedule/12 Hour Shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm -7am

Summary

Under direction of supervisor, performs syrup checks for all process tables in the infusion production area and maintain a consistent flow of product to the dryers that meets customers specifications. Keeps plants areas in a clean and orderly condition and performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining even and consistent product flow from table operations area to flume.

Responsible for draining and filling tables.

Responsible for the brix for each process step.

Keeps work area clean and orderly using common cleaning tools. Preps equipment for cleaning.

Cleans and maintains work area in proper sanitation condition during and at the end of the shift.

Cleans and maintains work area and other areas within the plant during as assigned during plant sanitation shut-down days.

Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area, including written procedures for safe handling and use of chemical compounds.

Must be able to stand for extended periods, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping

Must be able to work regularly scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.

Quality Assurance

Ensures product meets all product specifications

Properly marks product or materials as directed with NC/WIP/FG codes or other marks.

Completes records as necessary

Knows and follows the companys good manufacturing practices (GMPs)

Sanitation

Keep work area clean and orderly using common cleaning equipment

Cleans up production area and elsewhere at end of shift as directed

Safety

Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area, including following written procedures for safe handling and use of chemical compounds.

Must be familiar with safe machine operations where machinery must be cleaned while running and follow lock out procedures

Knows and follows company safety procedures

Communication

Promptly informs superior of known or anticipated problems

Ensures clean and timely communication within department and with other departments to maximize productivity and minimize down time

Requisite skills/Qualifications

Primary Job Responsibilities-Area of Focus

80%-Dried Fruit Production Process

Makes proper jumper connections on flow panel for each table/step of infusion process, performs brix tests, pulls thaw samples, fills and drains table soaks (thaw, pre-soak and final), shovels last plow of each table, sprays out table an flushes prior to re-filling, schedules advancement of table steps through use of HMI, monitors soak times and tank levels

10%-Communication

Informs lab of table start times, informs receiving line when next table is ready to be filled, briefs incoming shift on how fruit is performing in the process, and keeps consistent communication amongst co-workers other to make sure tasks are be performed on time and who is responsible for specific tasks

5%-Paperwork

Record brix tests for syrup soaks, records thaw juice and enzyme addition information, records table start times, records syrup addition times

5%- Sanitation & Safety

Clean floors, infusion lab equipment and utensils, cleans and sanitizes product paddles and shovels, ensures proper personal protective equipment is being worn for task being performed and wears a safety belt when operating lift trucks

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly require to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours a shift
