Badger State Staffing has an opening for a Machine Operator in the Marshfield area. This position could be on day or night shift. Actual Shift will be determined after training is complete. Hour are either 6 am – 6 pm or 6 pm to 6 am. Must have one year of prior related experience.

Weekly Pay

$18.25 - $19.25/hr

Responsibilities:

Prepare large scale liquid emulsions for further downstream processing through spray dryer

Retrieve raw materials from warehouse and mix with liquid components transferred from storage silos.

Set up and operate all pieces of wet mix equipment including mixing and blending vessels, pasteurizer and homogenizer.

Understand and follow all mixing instructions on production cards and daily schedule (i.e. weights, formula integrity, temperatures, etc.)

Keep accurate production records, report information daily and accurate reporting in

Perform sanitation duties, perform proper housekeeping, and adhere to safety and GMP procedures

Help maintain equipment, report all machinery breakdowns or problems, and resolve basic mechanical issues

Perform sampling procedures per specifications

Operate fork truck in a safe manner

Perform changeovers and wash downs (including chemical, allergen, and kosher) of equipment

Participate in team/department meetings, offering suggestions where warranted

Responsible for disposal of trash and operating compactor

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Use logical thinking in performing multiple duties, often working on different projects at the same time

Memorize various policies and procedures

Know when to go to a higher level for a decision

Read and interpret various formula sheets, printed/written materials, and computer screens

Be able to distinguish colors

Perform basic math functions; must be able to write legibly

Ability to lift and carry 50 lb bags, move containers over 50 lbs.

Able to climb ladders/stairs and bend/stoop to work around equipment

Operate hand tools, high-pressure water hoses, and enter information onto a computer (touch-screen/keyboard)

Ability to work a full shift plus daily overtime (often on short notice) and on weekends, plus have the flexibility to work other shifts

Fork truck license required or ability to become fork truck certified

Work in a team-based environment

Be able to wear a fitted respirator

Ability to wear a wear dust mask and to be physically able to complete annual pulmonary function monitoring and testing

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.25 to $19.25 /hour
