SHIFT SUPERVISOR
7 PM – 7 AM
$21.25 /HR
The shift supervisor will oversee all aspects of production to ensure product meets quality specifications, proper materials are used, staffing for each area of operation is correct and reporting is done on time and accurately.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Trains, plans, assigns and directs production lines, consisting of 24 employees.
Ensures the crew is scheduled for each line and arranges for replacements if needed.
Reports productivity to the production manager on a regular basis.
Responsible for employee evaluations and administers disciplinary action as necessary.
Addresses any machinery and maintenance issues to appropriate staff.
Must have knowledge of MVP Plant maintenance order program, Redzone, Lock Out/Tag Out, HACCP and GMP policy.
Performs standard inspections of production runs to make sure product specifications are being followed.
Oversees proper cleaning of work site and production lines, and that all tools are stored properly.
Establishes safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area, including following written procedures for safe handling and use of chemical compounds.
Must be familiar with safe machine operations, where machinery must be cleaned while running.
Uses MS Word, Excel and Outlook to communicate in a timely manner to maximize quality and productivity and minimize downtime.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during routine activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Presents technical information and or procedures to the team.
Occasionally lifts and or moves 25 to 50 pounds, and stands for the entire shift.
