GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Retirement Center is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Food Services Supervisor. This position supervises the facility's foodservice operations, ensuring that all health/safety guidelines are adhered to for compliance with regulating entities. Works with a clinical dietitian to ensure that the nutritional needs of the residents are met. This position has supervisory responsibilities for a staff of 11 people. Also has input into setting a budget.
The successful applicant, if not certified, will be required to enroll in and successfully complete a Certified Dietary Manager/Certified Food Protection Professional course within the first 12 months of hire, per federal regulations.

PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to individuals who possess a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification and who have 3 or more years of experience in foodservice in a large institution or commercial foodservice facility or school.
The successful applicant, if not certified, will be required to enroll in and successfully complete a Certified Dietary Manager/Certified Food Protection Professional course within the first 12 months of hire, per federal regulations.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Culinary Arts)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Specialist
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Specialist
