Executive Director

Vacancy expired!

The Organization

Founded in 2006, the Wyoming Business Coalition on Health (WyBCH) is a member-driven 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to educating and engaging the business community on issues relating to healthcare quality, cost and payment reform.

The main objective is to elevate the conversation between employers – who are the ultimate payers – and those who deliver and influence the delivery of care in Wyoming.

Business leaders, who need a healthy and productive workforce to succeed, are perfectly positioned to affect system change – but it requires working together. No single employer has enough market power to do what needs to be done, but a group of employers working together can make a positive impact.

The possibilities are limitless. Wyoming employers can reward those who provide high quality bundled services designed to treat entire episodes of illness in a coordinated fashion, rather than the current fee-for-service system. Employers can stop paying for medical errors and honor those who work to improve care. They can stop accepting random discounts off an unjustified starting price as a basis for payment by demanding transparent pricing based on verifiable cost accounting. They can improve compensation to primary care providers for helping to avoid costly specialty care. They can work with the public health system to emphasize wellness and prevention. They can help all Wyoming citizens be better consumers of healthcare services while improving their health and wellbeing.
