The director will manage the organizations internal and external communications strategy and a broad range of diverse business and marketing communications to ensure member engagement, brand awareness and a positive member experience. Thisposition will also focus on the following:

  • Develops, implements and manages a communications strategy that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand and supports organizational goals.
  • Responsible for the content creation of corporate communication in various online and print platforms such as internal SharePoint, social media, website, email, newsletters, annual report, speeches, advertisements and brochures.

  • Assists the CEO in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.

  • Recruit, supervise and mentor members of a communications team.

  • Write, edit, and proofread. Exhibit judgement in utilizing a consistent brand voice across all channels.

  • Apply appropriate length and tone based on each channel to engage segments and inspire action.

  • Collaborate with other business units to fully understand products, services and topics to create accurate and effective communication messages and talking points.

  • Create processes and metrics to track the effectiveness of communications activities.

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.


Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Agency experience a plus.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A college degree. Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred.

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
