About the Role

Processes and prepares for closing retail mortgage loans (conventional & government, construction, purchase & refinance, portfolio ARMs) under various loan programs in accordance with policies and procedures. This position can be located in either Cody or Powell, WY.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process loans by ensuring information from loan application and information requested is input into Encompass correctly and completely. Send verifications of employment, rent, deposits as well as order flood, title work, appraisals and all other items in accordance with the Real Estate check list. Ensure documentation, title work, appraisals, verifications are reviewed and accurate. Scan and/or distribute all original documents.

  • Balance and maintain construction files once loan has closed. Assist loan officer with construction loan draw requests as needed.

  • Ensure that all documents have been properly executed and that all exceptions to policy or procedure have been identified. Communicate with closer to ensure proper funding of loan by sending checks and/or wires for payoffs, appraisals, etc. Ensure mortgage and any other documents needed to be recorded are sent to Title Company or Clerk's Office. Make sure file is in order and ready to be sent to the shipper for purchase.

  • Review closing documents and ensure they are in compliance with FNMA, RD, VA, FHA and WCDA guidelines as well as all policies, procedures, requirements, laws and regulations.

  • Process Secondary Market Funding with Citizens Community Bank and follow up to recieve funding in a timely manner.

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • QC in-house RE files and/or do reporting as assigned.

  • Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all customers and bank personnel. Perform other job related duties assigned by supervisor.


About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

  • A high school degree or equivalent


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize & manage a heavy workload and exemplary customer service is required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
