Follow detailed and standardized procedures in performing routine accounting clerical operations. Perform a variety of support duties related to the accounting function within the credit union.


1. Process ACH and Share Draft Exceptions

2. Process and monitor ACH Originations

3. Analyze and reconcile general ledger for various accounts as assigned.

4. Balance various general ledger accounts

5. Verify the accuracy of postings and resolve any discrepancies.

6. Post overdraft notices.

7. Issue and monitor ACH and Share Draft stop payments

8. Assist in solving member issues or questions on EFT/ACH.

9. Send all bank to bank wires and Western Union wires.

10. Backups other accountants within the department to cover as people are out of the office.

11. Working knowledge of garnishment procedures.

12. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC.

· Assist or provide back-up support to Finance Services Director.

· Represents the credit union in professional and courteous manner.


Experience, Competencies and Education

  • High School Diploma, or technical equivalent.

  • One year of related experience

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to practice sound judgment

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, managers, clients, members and the general public

  • Ability to read & interpret P&P manuals, NCUA Rules & Regulations, and any Federal Regulation related to job responsibilities

  • Excellent basic mathematical skills required (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication using whole numbers, fractions and decimals)

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Must be proficient at accurately counting currency

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to process work with accuracy

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficient problem solving and reasoning ability

  • The ability to rationalize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding member transactions, weighing member satisfaction issues with Credit Union exposure to loss or fraud

Certification/Licensure Required

State of Wyoming valid driver’s license (or state with reciprocity) and current automobile insurance meeting State of Wyoming minimum limits.

All employees of Campco Federal Credit Union (this includes full time, part time and temporary) are required to complete training provided by the credit union. BSA (Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering), US Patriot Act (Member Identification) and OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) training must be completed before the employee is placed in their position with the credit union. All employees (full time, part time and temporary) are required to complete this training on an annual basis. If the employee refuses to complete the above training requirements, this will be grounds for immediate dismissal.
