About the Role

Reporting to the Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager, the Mortgage Loan Servicing Analyst possesses a high level of understanding of the institution’s mortgage loans and accompanying documentation. They are the Subject Matter Experts for all issues relevant to the servicing of Real Estate Mortgage Loans. Effectively navigates loan processes and documentation to address a multitude of customer concerns regarding terms of loans or other requirements to remain in good standing with the institution, government regulators, and investors. Assigned area(s) may include, specialized activities in support of ARMs, tax and insurance, credit reporting, default & investor reporting support, loss mitigation and escalations from Loan Servicing Representatives and other department individuals and areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Serves as subject matter expert and escalation point for Loan Servicing Reps and department clerical staff.

  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers in the execution of all assigned loan servicing duties within service level standards.

  • Assist department with other daily functions.

  • Work directly with the Division Banks to troubleshoot systems questions or issues and submit solutions to the department manager for review and assist in subsequent implementation of process improvements.

  • Create and review documents (ie CITs and Loss mitigation work outs) for approval or denial to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality within department.

  • Participates in the formulation of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with Glacier Bancorp, legal, investor, regulatory, and/or business policies which directly affect the work unit but may have an indirect effect on other departments or outside customers.

  • Participate in conversions and acquisitions and successful additions to the Glacier Family of Banks.

  • Participate in new software implementation, testing, and upgrade projects. Maintain current systems and software, releases, integration and testing.

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

About You

EXPERIENCE:


  • A minimum of 4 years experience working in a Banking or Lending environment required.

  • Experience working with a loan platform software such as Encompass, Jack Henry, Black Night, FiServ, etc. required.

  • Experience working independently with minimal direct supervision required.

  • Loan Servicing/Operations experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of management preferred.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:


  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • An Associate’s Degree preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:


  • Demonstrated ability to identify problem issues and resolve/recommend solutions to management.

  • Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance.

  • Ability to effectively research and interpret regulations.

  • Strong Problem-solving skills Professional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Interact well with people from various loan departments and all levels of management.

  • Ability to work well in a team setting.

  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Thorough knowledge of various office software. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Email.

  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
