Job Summary

Job Summary:

Do you enjoy creating and implementing innovative culinary solutions? We are currently seeking an Executive Chef for Northern Wyoming Community College District located in Sheridan, WY. Our Executive Chef will be responsible for leading culinary operations for our residential, retail and catering programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines, while working with students/parents to understand special dietary needs

  • Maintains food costs while ensuring quality standards

  • Manages purchasing and inventory controls

  • Trains staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards

  • Participates in employee meetings, reviews, and training programs

  • Manages in compliance with Company established policies & procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • A.S. or equivalent experience

  • Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

  • Experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet

  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience

  • ServSafe certified
