The incumbent will work as a member of the Medicine Service at the Sheridan VA Medical Center, collaborating with other services to provide medical care to veterans enrolled in the VA Healthcare System.
The Hospitalist/MOD Staff Physician is a direct patient care position and is responsible for carrying out operations of the Hospitalist Section of the Medicine Service.

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) has been authorized; but, not guaranteed for this position.-You must first apply for EDRP within four (4) months of this appointment. HR will assist you in completing the packet for submission but please don't wait until the last minute.-Should EDRP be approved you will be required to remain in this HR Smart Position Number for the term of the EDRP approval.-Should you decide to apply for a different position within that period, and are selected/reassigned, your EDRP authorization will be stopped.(EDRP is paid out every 12 months as a reimbursement to amounts you have paid to an institution within the preceding 12 months. Annual leave shall accrue for full-time physicians at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period.
