JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct, procedural care for patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Communicates continuously with the physician and Cath/IR Lab staff about patient condition. Assists physician during invasive and noninvasive procedures through monitoring and/or scrubbing procedures. Operates all equipment safely and correctly. Performs imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Participates in the performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities of the Cardiac Cath/IR Lab. Supports and maintains a culture of people, safety, service excellence and quality, fiscal responsibility Resource for Radiation safety for the department. May work in other units as oriented/assigned.
