The Director is responsible for the leadership and management of advising and testing services for Sheridan College. The Director also collaborates with District staff in the development and implementation a comprehensive retention management plan and preparing all pertinent reports. Director also serves as a member of the College’s CARE Team. This position is located at Sheridan College.
The Director has an upbeat and positive personality as s/he serves as the face of a continually growing and dynamic organization.
Supervisory and Management Responsibility:
This position has direct supervision over the Academic Advisors, Testing Center Coordinator, and Enrollment Specialists.

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
Valid Driver License
Sheridan College is located in historic Sheridan, WY at the foot of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, minutes away from a variety of outdoor recreational activities. Gillette College is located in Gillette, WY, the county seat of Campbell County. Located midway between the Big Horn Mountains to the West and the Black Hills of South Dakota to the east. NWCCD also includes a small campus site in Buffalo, WY.
Three years in related field with demonstrated growth in leadership role.

Direct efforts to provide high quality advising and testing services using a team approach. Facilitate a comprehensive academic advising program and a robust retention system, including Early Alert.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include appropriate training and work assignments, quality performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provide motivation for team to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and morale
Fully utilize Colleague modules related to area of responsibility, including Recruiter. Ensure proper training of advising services staff and maintain high quality data standards.
Manage campus programs promoting educational planning and completion.
Prepare and maintain statistics relevant to areas of responsibility.
Perform related duties as requested by supervisor.
