GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Specialist in Sheridan, Wyoming to aid and assist the striping foreman in accomplishing the District Traffic Strategic Plan for District Striping Crew work operations, which includes the maintenance of and installation of new highway striping on various Federal and State highway systems within the District for the safety of the employees and the traveling public. PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to those applicants with 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Highway Construction and/or Highway Maintenance).
Agency requires that the Incumbent obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements within 30 days of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Engineering)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Highway Maintenance/Highway Construction) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Highway Maintenance Technician
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Highway Maintenance/Highway Construction) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Highway Maintenance Technician
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License
