Looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to join our team!

Advance Therapy provides physical therapy and occupational therapy services to help people with unique physical and cognitive challenges experience greater mobility and functionality, and to ultimately live a happier and fuller life.

Overall Job Summary: The Front Desk Coordinator oversees the administrative duties of the facility. They are responsible for moving the patients through the intake and checkout process ensuring that all procedures are closely followed so that the medical team can concentrate on the well-being of the patients. Front Desk Coordinators must interact smoothly with all other personnel in the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

· Greets patients in a polite manner demonstrating friendly, knowledgeable attitude in line with Advance Therapy’s core values

· Orients and educates patients, explaining the role of the patient care coordinator, providing information related to treatments, therapy procedures and insurance estimates

· Schedules and coordinates patients’ appointments to best fit patients’ needs while utilizing each therapist’s schedule as efficiently as possible. Confirms appointments, ensuring patients are well informed about their schedules

· Acts as a liaison between patients and physicians

· Communicates all changes, issues, or messages to the rest of the team with clarity and efficiency

· Screens calls, arranges appointments and referrals

· Prepares and maintains new records, files, new patient packets and charts

· Collects co-pays, deductibles and inquires on previous balances.

· Maintains patient care database by entering new information, verifying findings and reports, backing up data, following up on missing paperwork and ensuring legal compliance

· Complies with HIPAA and legal requirements by fostering practices that adhere to the clinic’s patient care philosophy, goals, and standards of care.

· Respects patients by recognizing their rights and maintaining confidentiality

· Maintains professional, outgoing attitude and clean working environment.

Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent; previous medical office experience preferred; strong oral and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail and organization; computer literacy with the ability to learn data base software; and have the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
