JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Ministry & Volunteer Coordinator will support the Director of Ministry through the coordination of outreach assistance, ministry events, volunteer support, and other department needs. This role will require a willingness to provide spiritual support as a minister to staff, clients, and community partners as needed.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Answer calls from individuals in need of assistance
  • Coordinate client services and provide internal and external resources for clients in need of assistance
  • Maintain the associated records of the Rapid Response fund
  • Assist the Director of Ministry with logistical planning for retreats, conferences, and special events
  • Coordinate organizational volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and maintenance
  • Provide clerical support to the ministry department

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand or stoop as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Some travel may be expected for this position.


Required Education, Experience or Eligibility Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of administrative experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software
  • Valid Wyoming driver's license
  • Become a commissioned VOA minister within the first two years of employment

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associates degree
  • Two years' experience in Administrative related work
