Summary
The Systems Administrator is directly responsible for all of the day-to-day computer operations of the companies’ local computer systems. This includes all data acquisition and administrative network servers.

Education and/or Experience - High School diploma and some college or technical school attendance required. College degree preferred. (Math or Computer Science emphasis desired). Training on Local Area networks and their associated wiring topology and operating systems. In addition, knowledge of p.c. based spreadsheet products (Lotus, Quattro, and Excel) and database (Dbase, FoxPro, and Access) is required. Prior experience operating Mini-computers or as a Local Area Network (LAN) administrator is required. 2 years minimum.
Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment – The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively at a highly technical level both verbally and in writing.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills – Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to multi task between products.
