GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a full-time Construction and Field Survey Technician located in Sundance, Wyoming - where 'the kid' got his name. The Black Hills and Bear Lodge Mountains offer outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, golf, rodeos, and hiking. Sundance is a quiet town that comes alive with Summer traffic to Devil's Tower and the Sturgis Bike Rally. If you're looking for more to do, Rapid City, South Dakota is about an hour away. Wyoming is one of only seven states with no income tax.
Under limited supervision, the Construction and Field Survey Technician will perform various duties which include surveys and inspections on preliminary designs and construction projects; and conduct material testing in order to provide a safe, high quality, and efficient transportation system for the State of Wyoming.
