CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies according to the chefs’ specifications.

Preparing for food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces, setting up station for service, etc.).

Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team and to the chefs’ instructions.

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

Works as part of the team to maintain organization in the kitchen.

Comply with WMH and Wyoming sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and guests.

Maintains a clean work area.

Wraps and properly puts away unused items, labels, and stores in proper areas at the end of a shift, and shuts off all equipment at the station.

Cleans up station and participates in cleaning the rest of the kitchen before the restaurant closes for the night.

Assist in any other areas that lead to the success of WMH and our guest’s satisfaction.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook.

A team player, someone who truly enjoys helping out their coworkers and does it with a positive attitude

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and general procedures in the kitchen.

Has the ability to perform calmly under pressure with accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

Possesses excellent communication skills and manages time effectively.

Understands and follows written and verbal directions explicitly and asks questions for clarity when necessary.

Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and how it is used.

Strong task and time management abilities.

Current Wyoming approved food safety certificate.

Able to works odd hours like late evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

High School Diploma preferred.

Certificate in culinary arts or a related area from a vocational or technical school is a plus.
