We have a part-time position available for a General Dentist to work with the Featherstone Ridge Dental Clinic (South of Salt Lake City). The position will be for 8 to 20 hours per week, dependent upon need. The compensation will be $70 per hour and the General Dentist will be working as an Independent Contractor through Dental Power.
Scope of Work:
1. Prescreen patients to determine the necessity of providing dental services under general anesthesia. 2. Review the patient's prior dental and medical experience and the written work-up provided by the patients family practitioner. 3.Provide comprehensive dental exam services to DHS/DSPD patients. X-rays and visual oral exams shall be provided at the Dental Clinic. Treatments shall include: a. Monitoring, pre-screening, and oral examinations; b.Taking blood pressure and pulse; c. Restorative and prophylaxis treatments; d. Endodontic and oral surgery; and e. Fixed prosthetics. 4. Provide patients guardian and/or caregiver with oral care instructions and oral hygiene techniques following dental treatment. 5. Provide referrals to a specialist when a patients exam indicates further work-up or treatment is required that is not within the scope of services provided pursuant to this contract. 6. Each month, notify DHS/USDC of its availability two (2) months in advance. At least one month in advance, DHS/USDC will provide the Contractor with a work schedule based on the Contractors availability. The Contractor shall fulfill this work schedule unless a change is approved by the DHS/USDC Medical Director in accordance with Section E.2.a above.
