IT Consultant/System Admin Job Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable IT Consultant to help maintain, upgrade and manage our clientsâ systems and network. Your goal will be to ensure that their technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. Provide technical advice and project cost, as well as making sound technical decisions for our clients.
An IT consultant must be knowledgeable and customer-oriented. Communication and organization is everything for a consultant so we expect you to amaze us with your customer service skills and professionalism. Weâre further looking for superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude.
IT Consultant Responsibilities
Include:
⢠Understanding customer requirements and business objectives
⢠Providing strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals
⢠Managing IT initiatives and collaborating with IT team
⢠Design IT systems and networks ensuring the right architecture and functionality
⢠Support new technology implementation
⢠Documentation on systems and network
⢠Provide assistance with technical issues
⢠Revise existing systems and suggest improvements
⢠Produce reports for compliance requirements
Requirements:
⢠Willing to travel is a must
⢠Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems
⢠Experience with various operating systems and networks
⢠An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
⢠A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
⢠Customer service orientation
⢠Interpersonal skills
⢠BS/BA in computer science, IT or relevant field; IT Certifications will be a plus
⢠Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA A+) is an asset
