Job SummaryAlaska OverviewConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.Position OverviewWillow OverviewLocated on Alaska’s North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak. During construction, Willow is expected to create around 2,500 jobs, with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create approximately 300 permanent jobs.The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. This position will operate potable water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems and incinerators for the Willow Operations Center (WOC). Processing systems and equipment consist of a Class III water treatment plant utilizing Silicon Carbide (SiC) membrane and nanofiltration technologies, Class III Waste Water Treatment System, and Solid Waste Incinerator rated at 600 lb/hr.Willow Operations are seeking motivated individuals that possess leadership skills and function well in a team environment. The positions will be remotely based working a 14 day on/14 day off rotation schedule at a self-contained camp.Your responsibilities may include:

Operating potable water, and wastewater treatment in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and system safe operating limits (SOL’s)

Loading/Unloading and operating waste incinerators in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner

Managing fieldwide waste segregation and dumpster inventory; coordinating waste delivery to its final location(s)

Perform collection and shipping of required sampling and ensuring all reporting is done in a timely manner

Provide Operations support for preventative and corrective maintenance activity, including applying energy isolation or Lock-Out, Tag-Out to ensure safe execution of work

Troubleshooting technical problems and safety issues

Understanding and applying safety and environmental standards and actively insuring compliance in area of responsibility

Participate in and promote a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace

Participation in all field safety processes to achieve a zero-incident operating culture

Ensure all certifications, training and competency assessments are complete and kept up-to-date

Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations

Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Current/Valid Driver’s License

Level 1 Water Treatment Certificate by the State of Alaska and the ability to obtain a Level 3 in Water Treatment within two years of being hired

Level 1 Wastewater Treatment Certificate by the State of Alaska and the ability to obtain a Level 2 in wastewater treatment within two years of being hired

Intermediate level of knowledge and operational experience of incinerator operations.

Willing or able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14-days on/14-days off shift schedule in a remote arctic environment, both inside and outside in harsh weather conditions

Willing or able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely perform physical labor including climbing ladders/stairs, operating valves and equipment, walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and carrying material periodically throughout a 12-hour shift

Preferred:

Associate degree or higher in process technology or other relevant technical field or foreign equivalent

Level 3 Water Treatment Certificate by the State of Alaska or higher

Level 2 Wastewater Treatment Certificate by the State of Alaska or higher

5 or more years of North Slope work experience

Intermediate level of knowledge of SiC ultrafiltration and nanofiltration systems

Intermediate level of proficiency working with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

Intermediate level of proficiency reading and comprehending Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)

Beginner level of knowledge identifying process systems improvement opportunities and supporting development and implementation of related projects

Beginner level of knowledge of computer skills, word processing, spreadsheets and email

Beginner level knowledge participating in safety programs and program improvement initiatives

Proven safety leader; history of safety advocacy and involvement

Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals

Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right

Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
