Valley Residential Services, a non-profit housing provider in the Mat-Su Valley is looking for an accounting person to work as an assistant to the Finance Director in all aspects of the accounting department including the administration of the accounting policies, internal controls, payroll, budget, payables/receivables, and related items. Must have knowledge of the principles of financial management sufficient to direct a professional staff and coordinate all aspects involved for financial requirements.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:
.Knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
.Able to prepare financial statements and other reports.
.Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs and applications.
.Computer skills to include Windows 10, Word, Excel, and QuickBooks Desktop.
.Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision-making to achieve objectives.
