Job Summary:

A Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish. They work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the Avalanche Team, to ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements, objectives, and goals.

Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, budget, timeline, and resources.

Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction.

Budget Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, monitoring expenses, and controlling costs.

Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

Scheduling:

Create project schedules and timelines, identifying critical milestones.

Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.

Resource Management:

Hire, supervise, and manage subcontractors.

Allocate resources efficiently to ensure productivity and quality.

Quality Control:

Implement and enforce quality control and safety standards on the construction site.

Conduct inspections to ensure work meets specifications and standards.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

Address any unexpected challenges that may arise during construction.

Communication:

Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders, including regular progress updates.

Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.

Keep detailed records of project expenses and financial transactions.

Keep detailed logs and receipt retention for all time and material projects.

Client Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project.

Closeout:

Coordinate project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and turnover to the client.

Ensure all project documentation is complete and handed over to the client.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, typically several years in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Certifications (optional):

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Certification

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certification
