Coffman Engineers' Anchorage office is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Instrumentation and Control System Designer with five plus years of experience. Coffman's Anchorage Office offers a small firm work environment with large firm opportunities.
Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, and control system design for the oil and gas industry, working as an integral member of a multi-discipline engineering design team. Please submit a cover letter as well as a resume for consideration.
The successful individual will have the following minimum qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards and how to apply within design work
Experience working with Alaskan oil and gas production, pipeline and refinery installations
Experience specifying, designing, and commissioning industrial instrumentation and control systems
Experience designing, configuring, and programming industrial networks, PLC and HMI systems a plus
Experience in Water and Wastewater instrumentation and control systems a plus
North Slope arctic environment design experience
Strong AutoCAD skills required with ability to follow CAD standards
Strong organizational, technical writing and communication skills required
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Able to manage effort on multiple projects concurrently
Able to understand P&IDs and support development of P&ID instrumentation and control system interface, control philosophy development, safe chart development, etc.
Able to develop accurate loop drawings
