Job Title: Janitorial Staff Supervisor: Club ManagerJOB SUMMARYThe Janitorial Staff are responsible for but not limited to cleaning the cardio, stretching, weight, restrooms, entry, offices, and all other common areas within the Anytime Fitness facility. The Janitorial Staff assists the Club Manager in maintaining a quality cleaning and sanitation program. As an integral part of attracting and keeping members the Janitorial Staff must recognizes a clean gym will ensure members and guests receive an affordable, friendly, fun and welcoming fitness environment that encourages, educates, and motivates them to accomplish their fitness goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Dusts and cleans surfaces throughout the club
Picks up and puts away equipment, magazines and other clutter throughout the club
Vacuums out treadmills, elliptical machines, and other equipment as well as all available floor space
Responsible for cleaning up areas worked in and equipment used
Ensures all items required on the cleaning checklist are completed with a high attention to detail
Attends and participates in department meetings as scheduled
Assists Club Manager develop and implement new procedures for making cleaning and sanitation more efficient
Covers Janitorial shifts as needed
Other duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be highly motivated
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess good organizational skills
Must have an understanding of current cleaning procedures and keep up to date with newest sanitation techniques
Must be able to work evenings, and weekends as necessary
Must be able to work independently
Must be punctual, thorough and have a great work ethicREQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Prefer Industrial/Commercial Cleaning and Sanitation experience
Prefer some Customer Service experience
Prefer High School education or GED equivalent
CPR and First Aid Certification (within 3 months of hiring)
