Barista/Campground Hand (Short-term contract)
Location: Chitina, AK
Seasonal Full Time Position: Immediate hire-mid August

Summary:
We are looking to hire a motivated Barista to join us for the remainder of our season in the remote village of Chitina, AK. Our business is located on the road system about 2 hours north of Valdez and 5 hours east of Anchorage. We offer shared crew housing within walking distance of the coffee shop. Chitina is a fishing mecca and is slammed with fishermen throughout the Alaskan summer in search of world famous Copper River Salmon as well as tourists visiting Wrangell-St Elias National Park and the famous frontier town of McCarthy. The ideal candidate must be able to present him or herself in a professional manner and maintain a clean appearance at all times. We operate a robust coffee shop menu with hot and cold beverages, blended beverages, kickers, lotus, and weekly specials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of intermediate beverage preparation tasks.
Greet customers, take orders and process payments through point of sales system.
Monitors beverage preparation, presentation, and storage.
Assists management with inventory and ordering.
Assists with the unloading, unpacking, and storing of the supply deliveries.
Perform sanitary cleaning and best storage practices for all dishes, utensils, etc.
Maintain accurate paperwork such as timecards, inventory, ordering lists, etc.
Maintain clean hygiene and presentable personal appearance at all times.
Requirements:
Barista experience required.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written, with customers, employees, and management.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to detail, while working in a team or group environment.
Proficiency in the use of computerized point of sales systems.
Follow all sanitation guidelines.
Currently hold, or able to obtain prior to employment, a State of Alaska Food Handlers Card.
Legally able to work in the United States.

Hot and iced espresso beverages, blended fruit smoothies, kickers, lotus, pre-made breakfast items, grab and go muffins, bagels, etc., and weekly specials.
