Crush offers event catering services through the Bistro, Muse (at the Anchorage Museum), and the Performing Arts Center and we are looking for an organized, friendly, efficient point person. The Catering Manager is the main point of contact for our clients and is the bridge between the clients, the chefs, the venues, and management to ensure the client satisfaction and success of every event. This is a part time position with 15-20 hours of administrative work per week, and the option to work the events for additional hours (depending on the role, the wage for events may vary from the administrative wage).
Essential Functions:
Ensure event success and client satisfaction
Work with event software to manage all event details
Prepare quotes based on appropriate menus
Work with GM and Chef to create new menus as needed
Make arrangements with rental companies and ordering supplies as needed
Secure client payments and work with financial manager to accurately record all deposits and final payments
Schedule necessary staff for all event
Working events as needed – helping with set up, serving guests, managing details as they arise, cleanup
Managing on site team
Ensure food safety and sanitation
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
At least 3 years' office/administration experience
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive, etc), and Quickbooks
Qualified candidates will also:
Be at least 21 years of age
Already posssess, or be able to obtain immediately upon hire, a TAP card (Training for Alcohol Professionals) and a municipality approved food handlers certification
Be able to communicate, write, and understand English
