Looking for a seasonal chef to work at our well established remote bear photography and fishing lodge on the shores of Lake Clark National Park. Work would be from the end of June to beginning of September. Looking for a flexible team member able to work independently as well as alongside the chef.
Job is for a sous chef to work with our head chef, serving an average of 10-12 people a day. Duties include meal prep, baking, serving, dishes, and clean up. May be asked to help in garden duties or other areas as needed. Food is prepared from scratch on site. This includes fresh ingredients and high quality protein. Breakfast is buffet style, lunch and dinner are plated. The dining room is open to the kitchen and high standards of cleanliness, professionalism and friendliness to the clients is a must.
You will be on location in a remote part of Alaska with no roads, and will stay there for the duration of the season. Expect to work seven days a week. You will need to be flexible and work well with our small team of five people. Room and board is included, and your flight home. Tips are a significant additional source of income and largely based on customer service and connecting with the guests.
