Direct Caregiver
Reports to: Charge Nurse
Full Time/Part Time & Various shifts available
Pay starting at $18-$22/HR. DOE

Immediately seeking a compassionate and resident needs focused Caregiver for an assisted living facility in Anchorage.
Ideal candidates will possess a patient, caring, respectful and service focused mindset with excellent communication, time management, the ability to multitask and the ability to work well within a team environment.
General Duties Include but are not limited to:
-Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators
-Assist residents with daily living tasks- Bathing, oral care and hygiene, nail care etc
-Assist residents with dressing and grooming according to their needs, wishes and desires/Ensure residents are dressed
appropriately, consistent with weather conditions and according to their wishes,
-Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
-Ensure that residents are given correct diet as directed by the DON,
-Use proper feeding techniques while respecting personal dignity and meeting the residents' needs for socialization.
Make beds correctly and wrinkle free and maintain residents’ rooms in a neat, orderly, and clutter-free manner,
-Support residents’ participation in activity programs,
-Establish effective communication/interaction with residents and their families/Directly respond, within the scope of
practice, to needs and concerns of residents and family members
-Promptly respond to call lights and other resident needs,
-Report to Charge Nurse all relevant client information
-Other role related duties as needed/required
Minimum Requirements:
1 year caregiving experience preferred
CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Proficient computer skills
Background will be viewed.
