Our specialty veterinary practice is recruiting for a permanent, part-time kennel technician to join our team. (must be 18 yrs or older)
Hours for this position are Monday and Wednesday 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and two Friday's a month 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours are not negotiable. Occasional weekday overtime may be necessary. We are closed weekends. Reliable transportation is required. Previous kennel tech experience, dog handling experience a plus, and mechanical aptitude will be appreciated. The ability to lift 50 pounds frequently daily, along with a high level of physical agility necessary to maintain and clean our aquatic treadmill are mandatory.
Duties will include, but are not limited to maintaining indoor/outdoor kennel areas, maintaining outdoor grounds, assisting with cleaning and sterilization of rehabilitation equipment, cleaning/maintaining the aquatic treadmill and tank, cleaning operating rooms, exam rooms, clinic office areas, lab, kitchen, maintaining kennel supply inventory, restocking supplies and assisting technicians with patient care
