SUMMARY OF POSITION: Patient Services Representatives will provide information to patients and staff on ANHC's policy and procedures, while upholding Service Excellence standards. They will provide patients and staff with necessary assistance in fulfilling the needs of the center; they are responsible for answering the department's phone queues, patients check in and out, verifying all demographics and notifying appropriate persons of messages and information as required. Will conduct interviews and enroll all eligible patients on the ANHC Sliding Fee Scale and register new patients. They are responsible for recording all necessary personal information, securing required signatures, preparing and supplying data to various departments.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or the equivalent. One-year experience in a medical office setting with demonstrated progressive responsibilities required. Knowledge of Alaska Medicaid, third party insurers, and other financial assistance programs preferred. Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or medical scribe preferred. Consistent attendance is required for this position.
