We are seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community members.

Job Summary

As a Personal Care Assistant at Wellspring Home Health Center, you will provide essential daily living support to clients in their homes. This role involves assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship, while promoting independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs and preferences; perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying.

Administer medication reminders and monitor client health status, reporting any changes to supervisors.

Provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and accompany clients on errands or appointments as needed.

Support mobility and fall prevention, including transfers and ambulation assistance.

Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the care team and family members.

Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control measures, and company policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field (experience with elderly or disabled individuals is a plus).

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient demeanor.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of Alaskan weather conditions and ability to travel safely in varying environments is beneficial.
