PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
A growing Physical Therapy facility is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position with a possibility for full-time. Our outpatient rehabilitation facility is currently in need of a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist and assist with basic front desk administrative duties as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ï Administer treatment programs as established by primary Physical Therapist
ï Contributes to Physical Therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives
ï Propose treatment goals and objectives
ï Implement patient treatment plans with guidance from the Physical Therapist
ï Perform skilled interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, and therapeutic activities.
ï Instruct and educate patients on physical therapy interventions, modalities and home exercise programs
ï Assist in scheduling patients and answering incoming phone calls as needed.
ï Participate in marketing events to build community relationships
ï Other duties as needed
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
ï¶ Physical Therapist Assistant Associate's Degree from and accredited program
ï¶ Current Alaska state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
ï¶ Current CPR and first aid certification
ï¶ Must possess a caring and compassionate demeanor
ï¶ Outpatient experience an asset
ï¶ Knowledge and comfortability in basic Microsoft programs and electronic health records
