We are a smaller, owner operated property maintenance company specializing in South Anchorage. Looking to fill a summer lawn crew leader and winter tractor operator position. 2 years of lawn care experience is required, along with the capability to succesfully back up a trailer.
Winter work - October 15th - April 15th - Guaranteed 20 hours a week even if it doesnt snow. ON CALL 7 days a week, including holidays. This does require shop work, changing fluids, washing equipment, checking sites or operating the sanding truck. Snow removal everytime it snows 2" or more, operating a like new John Deere Tractor clearing residential driveways and walkways.
Summer work - April 16th - October 14th - Guaranteed 40 hours a week, Monday - Thursdays 8 am to 6pm. No weekends, occational rain delays on Fridays. Leading a 2 person lawn crew maintaining residential lawns in south anchorage. Must be capable of safetly backing up and towing an enclosed lawn trailer. Maintaining residential lawn areas through the use of walk behind mowers, leaf-blowers, trimmers, rakes, lawn thatcher and edger. May use hand saws, pruning shears, hedgers, compactors, spreaders, and pull weeds.
Minimum Qualifications
-Winter work is ON CALL 7 days a week, 7am to 5pm October 15th-April 15th
-Must possess current and clean driver’s license
-High School or equivalent diploma.
-Must be able to walk frequently; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
-Must possess a positive attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills.
-Has excellent problem-solving skills.
-Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills.
-Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
-Ability to work with diverse cultures and people of many ethnic and social backgrounds.
-Ability to refrain from smoking or vaping in all company vehicles/spaces.
-Ability to safetly and effeciently backup an enclosed lawn trailer
This position is designed to lead into our lawn care supervisor after one year of employment, which is salary and includes a company vehicle.
