Pacific Building Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Janitor to join our team at Matsu College in Palmer, Alaska. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment within the college. The position is part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per week, and is an overnight shift. For the right person, we could increase hours to full-time if willing to travel to secondary location that could be completed before shift at college.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal.
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness in common areas, hallways, and classrooms.
Ensure all areas are free from debris, dirt, and spills.
Handle snow removal and shoveling around entrances and walkways during winter months.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to and from Matsu College in Palmer, AK.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Availability to work overnight shifts 11pm-7am are janitorial hours
Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Prior janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.
