General Construction positions available at a remote fly-in location in June.
We are building a remote wilderness lodge within Katmai National Park and are hiring positions to construct a main lodge building and one guest cabin.
Pay depending on experience.
-Must have general construction experience and willing to be flexible- building in the bush is different than in town.
-Employees will be flown out to the lodge site, and remain at camp during the entire month of June.
-Employees must be comfortable staying in canvas tents, and "roughing it" in bear country.
-We have filtered drinking water, but have not installed a plumbing system yet and will be utilizing an outhouse and outdoor shower.
-We have solar panels and a generator to charge electronics and power tool batteries, as well as run Starlink for communication.
-Meals will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right motivated person to see a part of Alaska that most people save up their entire lives to see. We are near Lake Brooks and the wildlife around the property is abundant.
Requirements for this job:
-Individuals MUST be willing to obtain knowledge and learn new skills
- Must be able to follow safety guidlines; we are a far flight from a hospital
-Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks, including ability to life more than 60 pounds
-Must be willing to assist in unloading materials and lumber from a float plane
-Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and ability to maturely take constructive criticism and correction
-You must be able to work as a team
-Reliable
-Goal-oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision
-Ability to travel up and down ladders
