In this role, you will help manage over 380 acres of land throughout every season. Flexibility is essential: our workload is varied and no two days are ever the same. Our team handles winter snow removal and ice control (no overnight shifts); stewards forests and trails; operates a greenhouse; manages an interior plant collection; and oversees the health and maintenance of hundreds of acres of lawn, flower beds, trees and hardscape.
To thrive in this position, a candidate must have experience in the trade, a desire to work outdoors in all weather conditions and the ability to grow their skills and work closely with a tight-knit team.
This position is located on the UAA Main campus in Anchorage, is full-time with a forty-hour work week. Typical work hours are 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. During seasonal weather events, this position may also be subject to extra hours of work and “Call-in” to work additional hours. Pay for additional hours worked will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Collective Bargaining Unit.
