E & D Water Wells is looking for water well drillers assistants for our summer/fall season. Candidates must be physically fit so as to stoop, squat, crawl, negotiate slippery surfaces, and lift/move heavy equipment. You must also have a willingness to perform hard physical labor in all kinds of weather. Must be able to follow directions and communicate well.
- Welding experience mandatory - especially steel casing; any certifications preferred.
- Must have a CDL-B driver's license with clean driving record
- Will typically work 6 days a week, up to 10-12 hours a day (Sunday off) depending on drilling schedule
- Shift starts at 8 A.M.
- Work area is the Mat-Su Valley locale; primarily residential job sites
- Must be reliable, motivated, and able to work well as a member of a small team
Typical duties and responsibilities may include:
· Assemble and check the drilling equipment and perform routine maintenance
· Ensure safe transportation of the drilling equipment to and from the place of work
Assemble and position machines, casing pipes, and other equipment, using hand tools.
Load drill rods for driller to access during the drilling process.
· Weld casing strings
