Matanuska Brewing Company in Palmer, Alaska is seeking an experienced passionate brewer to join our production team. We run a 40 bbl, 4 vessel, semi-automated brewhouse. We package in cans and kegs and run a rotary filler. We are expecting significant growth in 2025 and are looking for a full time brewer that will bring energy and leadership to our team.
BREWERY POSITION AND DUTIES
The position includes all brewhouse, cellar, packaging, cleaning, and record keeping operations according to the Brewery Values, Standard Operating Procedures, and Policies. Duties include but are not limited to:
Brewing on our 40 bbl brewhouse;
Brewing on our 5 bbl pilot brewhouse;
CIPs;
DE Filtration;
Yeast Management;
Fermentation Management;
Packaging.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
4 years of proven brewing , filtration, and cellar experience, preferably in a production facility;
Able to work in a fast paced, changing work environment;
Able to lift 55 pounds;
Forklift experience;
Professional brewing education is preferred.
COMPENSATION
Starting pay depends on experience.
