Denali Family Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate Supervisor.

This position is the supervisory position for a team of five to seven Behavioral Health Associates. The Behavioral Health Associate Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that their team functions as a team and is providing coverage of the client services. Supervisors will work cooperatively with the School Based Director, Clinicians, and Case Managers in the application of clinical treatment plans by the team members. The work site will vary and may include the agency main office, schools and community settings. The position is responsible for maintaining positive working relationships which includes a variety of agencies and the school district personnel. All services will support the agency mission, in providing mental health rehabilitative services to Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) clients and their families.

This position is responsible for observing policies, procedures and safeguards to protect the privacy of

health information in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy (Privacy Rule).

Essential Functions:

Assists in hiring, training, and mentoring of new and existing employees.

Leads regularly scheduled supervision meetings with assigned Behavioral Health Associates.

Coordinates with the School Based Director and Scheduler on staff work assignments, schedules and attendance.

Attends supervision meetings with the School Based Services leadership team.

Assists in the planning, implementing and evaluating school break programs.

Coaches Behavioral Health Associates in developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients.

Provides training for assigned Behavioral Health Associates on the application of basic life skills, DFS procedures, and writing of timely and quality notes. Monitor progress towards required training and work with Scheduler if additional training time is required.

Responsible for tracking BHA teams work hours.

Works with the School Based Director to conduct employee evaluations.

Assists Behavioral Health Associates in developing as functioning members of treatment teams.

Develops, plans, and implement therapeutic activities including community activities for clients.

Assists Behavioral Health Associates in planning and setting up activities.

Monitors Behavioral Health Associates timeliness and quality of client notes.

Work with Scheduler if additional note time is needed.

Enters client notes into Harmony within 72 hours.

Notes will need little or no editing by the Director.

Provide individual and group skill development for clients as assigned.

Minimum: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field with two (2) years of experience in developing and implementing activities for children and adolescents diagnosed as severely emotionally disturbed. One (1) year of experience must have included lead or supervisory responsibility.
