Job Opportunities:

Administrative Assistant in Wasilla with the WIC Program. Full time position available to provide exceptional customer service and accurate and timely staff support. Responsibilities include welcoming clients, answer and direct communications, input client data, providing staff support and general office duties. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of successful work experience including proficiency with computers.

Advocate in Palmer for the DVSA Shelter. Full-time position available with benefits to work the night shift from midnight to 8am. Responsibilities include providing support, assistance and advocacy for adults and children who are affected by domestic violence. May plan and implement education and support groups for women and/or children. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in appropriate area, or high school equivalency with one-year successful work experience.

Case Manager in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Full or part time position available to provide case management and therapeutic behavioral health services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness or substance abuse in an effort to improve their quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function within the community. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one-year experience in social services or a closely related field. Must be eligible to enroll or currently enrolled as a provider in Alaska Medicaid and receive an NPI number.

Case Manager in Wasilla for the Family Support and Preservation Program. Full or part time position available to provide family contact and/or support for families with children in state custody or through court ordered visitation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology or related field and one-year successful experience in family issues including parenting support, parent education, child development, child management, child abuse including sexual abuse and neglect, crisis intervention and domestic violence.

Clinical Supervisor in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center (BHTC). Full time position available to provide leadership, quality assurance and clinical supervision of the behavioral health treatment team; assist in the development of behavioral health services throughout the agency; and provide direct service. Ensures a culture of teamwork and joint accountability. Maintains a reduced clinical caseload to provide time for leadership responsibilities. Collaborates closely with the BHTC Administrator to ensure clients access a safe, empowering continuum of care. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in behavioral health field (sociology, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, addiction studies, human services or social work). Two years mental health/substance abuse clinical experience with children, youth and adults. Eligible to enroll or currently enrolled as a provider in Alaska Medicaid. Appropriate licensure with supervision capabilities (LCSW, LPC, LMSW or license-eligible within one years of hire.

Eligibility/Provider Worker in Wasilla or Anchorage with the Child Care Assistance Program. Full time position available to include scheduling and conducting parent/provider interviews for program eligibility, determining subsidy level, and eligible/available funds. Create and maintain accurate and timely files for clients and/or providers. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of successful work experience in a related field.

Family Advocate in Wasilla for the Family Support and Preservation Program. Full or part time position available to provide parent coaching and feedback. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in education, social work, sociology or related field. One-year successful experience in family issues including; parenting support, parent education, child development, child management, child abuse including sexual abuse and neglect, crisis intervention and domestic violence.

Mental Health Clinician in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Full time or part time position available to apply addiction/mental health counseling knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct substance abuse/mental health screening, assessment and treatment services to adults and/or children/youth clients under the age of 18 years within various treatment modalities. Minimum Qualifications: Masters’ degree in behavioral health field (counseling, psychology, social work, etc.) and two years mental health/substance abuse clinical experience with children, youth and families. Current licensure as LPC/LMSW/LCSW strongly preferred.

Office Supervisor in Anchorage with the Child Care Assistance Program. Full time position available with benefits. Responsibilities include day to day staff supervision and coordinating services to insure compliance with State of Alaska and AFS standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field. Two years of social services administrative experience with experience in social service program assessment and planning preferred.

Senior Case Manager in Palmer for the DVSA Shelter. Full time position available to assist with the day to day supervision of emergency shelter staff and ensuring the effective execution of domestic violence and sexual assault services to shelter residents and nonresidents, including the 24-hour crisis line. Create and manage case plans that are responsive to the needs of shelter participants. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in social work, or a closely related field or in lieu of a degree, equivalent related experience in human services with a minimum of two years’ experience in shelter services.

Store Associate in Palmer at Families First Treasures Thrift Store. Part time position available to assist in the daily operations of the second-hand store including working as a retail sales person, operating cash register, assisting customers, handling, washing, sorting, displaying and pricing all donated articles and clothing. Keep store clean and secure. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and successful work experience. Must be available to work Saturdays and on-call as needed.

Substance Use Counselor in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Full or part time time position available to provide substance use treatment services in an outpatient program. Minimum Qualifications: High school equivalency and one-year full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment, or a degree in a related field (human services, social services, social work, addiction, psychiatric nursing or psychology) and one year of full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment. Must possess the ability to become a Qualified Addictions Professional within three years (achieve a minimum certification as a CDCII, BHAII or NCACI). Must be eligible to enroll as a provider in Alaska Medicaid.
