Job Summary: Under the direct report to the Logistics Lead, the Logistics Transport position is responsible for organizing the storage, collection, and distribution of goods, food deliveries and monitoring various sites; and ensuring that the correct products are delivered and/or picked up at the correct locations.
Supports Vision:
The Logistics Transport role directly supports the mission by ensuring that all the services related to food delivery and collection meet standards and serve the community the highest quality of food services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Deliver and pick-up meals, donations and other goods adhering to schedule given.
Load/unload deliveries using proper safety protocols.
Adhere to and maintain vehicle policy, safety/security processes and procedures.
Coordination of transportation routes and conducting vehicle maintenance logs.
Facilitate and record donation deliveries and issue receipts for all donations.
Monitor sites and logistics duties by; ensuring accurate meal count forms, providing technical assistance, and delivering reports.
Liaising with customers and suppliers, planning vehicle routes and maintaining vehicle fleet.
Coordinate, communicate, and support all accountability functions with other staff throughout the shift.
Understand that any alterations to the program's operations and or services must be approved by the Operations Manager.
Perform as a backup for kitchen prep, portioning, and other duties as assigned.
May perform other duties and administration tasks as assigned by superiors.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license
Legal right to work in the United States.
Have reliable transportation and/or access to reliable transportation.
Prior work experience in a similar job position is preferred.
Obtain hard-toed or steel shoes and/or show proof of slip hard toed or steel toed shoes within 15 days (about 2 weeks) of employment.
Ability to undergo a background check (please note; undergoing a background check will not inhibit you from being hired – Bean's Cafe is a Second Chance Employer).
Physical / Work Attire Requirements:
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions (cold, rain, and wind), slippery floors, steam, hot water temperatures and surfaces.
Use proper lifting techniques and be able to stand, and be on the move, for at least 8 hours without needing assistance.
Have the vision ability to focus close, distance, peripheral and depth with or without corrective lenses and and to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, driving, etc.) or to make general observations of equipment, facilities and/or structures.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift to 50 pounds from the ground up.
Always wear proper work attire, including slip resistant shoes and steel toed/hard toed shoes.
Must be able to climb stairs.
